今年も豊作？山葡萄ｐｒｔ２ [自然]
先日収穫した山葡萄をつけるために房から実を取ったが、3日かかってしまった。
とにかく疲れたぁ～。
まず、ブランディーで山葡萄酒をつけた。
去年は実を取ってすぐにつけたが、今年は3日ほど発酵させてからつけてみた。
どんな味になるか楽しみだが、失敗したら悲惨だ。
この努力が水の泡になる。
瓶に2本、１升くらいつけた。
後残りは房から取った実をつぶして桶にいれ発酵さす。
そこそこ発酵するまでこのまで置いといて、適当なところでこれを絞って濾す。
そしてまた何日かそのままにして、好みの味になったときに発酵を止めて瓶詰めして冷蔵庫で保管して完成・・・・の予定。
出来上がる日が楽しみだ。
できたらクリスマスに開けてみたいものだ。

Looks like you’re having a wonderful time in Bali. The video quality is quite good – I would say fairly similar to a Flip Mino, so I think that people who are considering getting a Flip but already have an iPhone 4 might just want to stick with the iPhone. The pictures are nice and sharp but the contrast seems a bit off to me.

I must admit- he’s right. Even though i’m not a 9-5 owner my dad has just recently bought a new 1, vector sport wagon with titan grey paint and even though its a diesel auto- the 1 he wanted least but had to go for due to car tax reasons. But to start off with he looked at other car and couldn’t find anything for the same price which had the same comfort and equipment than his car.

In fact, the “old” lady is 98 years young, and she has more energy and zest for life than most folks half her age. </p><p>Bertha is the exception to any old-fashioned rule that we have to act our age as the years fly by. For privacy reasons, Bertha’s family asked that I not use her last name. They did agree the resident of Arden Courts of Parma does not keep private her desire to do the unexpected. </p><p>Included on Bertha’s bucket list: riding on a motorcycle. </p><p>“Do they call you Motorcycle Momma now?” I asked with a laugh. </p><p>“Oh, I don’t care what they call me,” Bertha answered. “I had fun in the sun, and I had a big smile on my face. I liked it!” </p><p>The motorcycle excursion into the nearby Metroparks was organized Marcial Ingal, executive director of Arden Courts. He’s a motorcycle enthusiast. </p><p>Ingal says he brought his BMW to work one day last year and the residents asked for a close-up look. For Bertha, it was love at first sight. </p><p>Fast forward to August this summer. The three-wheel trike that she rode on the last day of August was donated for the day by Century Harley-Davidson of Medina. </p><p>“I remember it was last summer when I rode my motorcycle to work,” Ingal said. “Our programming director asked me if I’d park the bike where the residents could go out and take a look at it. In no time, there were a bunch of ladies, including Bertha, swarming around the bike for a better look. We knew we couldn’t take anyone for a ride on a two-wheeler. That’s why we contacted Century Harley for help in providing the ride. It came off without a hitch.” </p>'Motorcycle Momma' Bertha<p>“She really enjoyed the entire experience,” said Barbara Lange, Bertha’s daughter. “I looked back at her old pictures to see if she had ever been on a motorcycle, but I couldn’t find anything that showed that side of her. </p><p>“She has always lived life to the fullest, and this is probably just another example of that. My mom had a great time because she has always loved the outdoors. Being outside on a motorcycle was more than she expected, but it was a fun time for her.” </p><p>According to Marketing Director April Suva, Arden Courts of Parma is a memory care community for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias that would benefit from a safe and structured environment. Bertha’s bike ride was part of the Heart’s Desire program, designed to enrich the lives of its residents by encouraging them to take advantage of all that life has to offer. </p><p>“The best part is that Bertha was very interactive the whole time, talking about being in the park and riding in the outdoors. She even enjoyed the speakers that the bike has for providing music. It was great. I could tell that she felt safe because she was smiling the entire time and happy to be on the bike. I think I had as much fun as Bertha did,” Ingal said. </p><p>He says the goal is for residents to continue their participation in the community by fulfilling their greatest wishes or desires. Thousands of Heart’s Desires have been granted since the program began in 1997. </p><p>As for Bertha, well, she seems to have a burning desire to retain the title of Motorcycle Momma. </p><p>“I had fun, but I think I was choking Marcial because I was hanging on to the back of his neck the whole time. And I told him not to get a ticket because I wouldn’t pay for it,” laughed Bertha. </p><p>“Would you do it again?” I asked. </p><p>“Oh sure,” she said. “I don’t think I’d drive, I gave that up a long time ago. But I’d do it again. I would definitely do it again. Tickets will be on sale in the canteen until Sept. 16. </p></p>锘?p>WASHINGTON -- Attorney General Eric Holder signaled a change on medical marijuana policy Wednesday, saying federal agents will target marijuana distributors only when they violate both federal and state law.</p>That would be a departure from the policy of the Bush administration, which targeted medical marijuana dispensaries in California even if they complied with that state's law.</p><p>"The policy is to go after those people who violate both federal and state law," Holder said in a question-and-answer session with reporters at the Justice Department.</p><p>Medical marijuana advocates in California welcomed the news, but said they still worried about the pending cases of those already in court on drug charges.<br></p><p>California law permits the sale of marijuana for medical purposes, though it still is against federal law.</p><p>Holder did not spell out exactly who no longer would face the prospect of raids by the Drug Enforcement Administration. But he was quick to add that law enforcement officers will target anyone who tries to "use medical marijuana laws as a shield" for other illegal activity.</p><p>"Given the limited resources that we have, our focus will be on people, organizations that are growing, cultivating substantial amounts of marijuana and doing so in a way that's inconsistent with federal and state law," the attorney general said.</p><p>Advocates and government officials had been waiting since President Barack Obama was sworn into office for a clear signal on what the new president's drug policy would be toward medical marijuana. As a candidate, he repeatedly promised a change in policy in situations in which state laws allow the use of medical marijuana.</p><p>Yet shortly after Obama took office, DEA agents raided four dispensaries in Los Angeles, prompting confusion about the government's plans.</p><p>Thirteen states have laws permitting medicinal use of marijuana. California is unique among them for the presence of dispensaries, which are businesses that sell marijuana and even advertise their services. Legal under California law, such dispensaries are still illegal under federal law.</p><p>Kris Hermes, a spokesman for national medical marijuana advocacy group Americans for Safe Access, said he welcomed Holder's perspective.</p><p>"It signals a new direction and a more reasonable and sensible direction on medical marijuana policy," he said.</p><p>Still, Hermes said his Oakland-based organization was concerned about the fate of more than two dozen California medical marijuana cases currently pending in federal court.</p><p>"There remains a big question as to what the federal government's position is on those cases," Hermes said. Broadview Heights, 44147锘?p> It's crazy how Scott Totten's little bakery -- Great Scott's in Rocky River -- gradually unfolded into this cool little food shop. With big-production barbecues out front, on weekends. </p><p>"Yeah, we got so busy over the past couple of years that Scott went ahead and had a gas line run out to the front, so we can wheel out this big grill on Saturdays," says Tommy Wachter, one of Totten's working partners. </p><p>It's so popular, in fact, that they've added a half-dozen tables to what was once a carryout shop. An outdoor bench affords seating for overflow guests and those who want to perch and watch the crew work the grill -- which gets crazy-busy between noon and 5 p.m. on Saturdays. </p><p>Ribs by the slab ($21.95) are the biggest sellers, along with homemade pulled pork (by the pound, $10.99; per sandwich, topped with Totten's mustardy Carolina coleslaw, $8.99), and recently introduced Cuban sandwiches. Grilled chicken, quarter-pound dogs and other fare round out the menu. </p><p>Of course, Totten's team still cranks out his popular cakes, cupcakes, pies and other confections. After an accident in March left Totten sidelined with a broken leg, Totten's mom, Rhonda, and Wachter have picked up much of the slack. </p><p>"I've got to tell you, it's gotten so popular, we usually tell people to call in their order ahead of time so we don't run out," says Wachter. Most do, he says, adding "of course, anyone's welcome to grab the bench and wait. Ratings are going to crap. Why ??? A 3 week break at christmas and now another 3 week break to see the last episode. Looks like cancellation self suicide. 7 – 10 million viewers before the first break and now down to 5,7 million viewers because us …. the viewer has to put up with an ADHD type schedule.
